What Lies Ahead? Environmental Crisis

What’s up folks. How’s your 2020 going ? Probably working on resolutions or even if you don’t have any than perhaps waiting for opportunities like people always says ‘New year New beginning’. Everyone’s busy. But just hold on. January is about to over. Look back, look closely. What we’ve just lost in one month. Well let’s take a moment.

The Amazon rainforest has lost the equivalent of 8.4 million soccer fields over the past decade due to deforestation. And this stats only gives a snapshot of the issue.

Australia wildfire that have burned about 14.5 million acres.

New year’s day was the most polluted in the world because of a plume of fire smoke as wide as Europe.

Half a billion animals and plants killed in Australia wildfires (that’s just early estimate).

‘30% of the Koala’s colony wiped out’, said the officials.

“The fires have burnt so hot and so fast that there has been significant mortality of animals in the trees”, says ecologists

Biodiversity crisis, with as many as a million species facing extinction. An extinction crisis decades in the making.

Chinese paddlefish, one of the world’s largest fish declared extinct.

Biologist found the largest sea birds die off due to heat wave, estimated to be around 500,000 to 1 million from California to Alaska.

Antarctica’s chinstrap Penguins population drops by half.

“The moment of crisis has come”, sir David Attenborough has warned.

DAMN! that’s a lot. Isn’t it ?

A report found that the 2019 was the second hottest year ever measured. And we have increased the extinction of animals by 1000 times the normal rate. What we can expect in next 10 to 100 years ?

All these crisis are symptoms of us because we put up greed above need. Truth can be denied but cannot be avoided.

You know it’s good to be smart but not too smart for your own good. To betray nature is to betray us and to save nature is to save us. Remember if we don’t all work together now to save the environment we’ll be equally EXTINCT.

Think Wisely
