Hey, thank you for sharing this. I actually smiled reading it. I think we all should be proud of who we are, but still being honest and human about it. Really glad that point resonated with you. And I hope you have a great week ahead too

Ritish … I have never been able to wrap my head around these bio..s
They actually depict a picture that the author wants to depict about himself rather than the real- one
People use fancy words … for what? At the end of the day it’s tiring to live upto those synonyms and there comes the backlash of it as everything is short lived then ..!
Was a good point that u made here!
Have a happy week ahead !

Almost guaranteed, Ritish. Grin. I’ll be blogging the tales as I put them together into a book format. The first story involve me being kicked out of the First Grade... For a year!

Thanks, Ritish, And my apology for getting back to you so late. Peggy and I have been lost leaf-peeping the back roads of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. The book will be chock full of such tales. You will even learn what it’s like to wake up at 4 AM with a bear standing on top of you. Grin.

Curt, this might be the most entertaining comment I’ve read all week This paragraph alone deserves its own book. And honestly, Uh-Oh sounds like the perfect title. It sums up both the chaos and the humor of being human. I’d definitely read that one.

Makes one think and laugh at the same time, Ritish. well done. I’m working on a bio now for a book I am tentatively naming Uh-Oh, or possibly Ut-Oh since that’s how I said it as a kid. It relates a lot to the “Oh shit!” moments in my life. At 82, there have been lots in my life. My intro is also a bio to catch such moments. Nothing about cats and cozy house in the one though. Going. But it is focused, Here’s a paragraph from it: I know what it’s like to be stalked by a grizzly bear in Alaska, charged by a herd of elk in New Mexico, and attacked by army ants in Africa. Once, a rattlesnake tried to bite me on the naked butt. I hadn’t seen it slither into a cat-hole I had dug for bathroom duty in the woods and almost pooped on him. Fortunately for both of us, he had rattled his displeasure as my rear loomed above him.

Oh that's a good story :-) it perfectly sums up how bios have become part of the “performance” of being a writer. I love that you’ve seen it up close.
