In reply to Victoria. I love how you framed that, Vicki. And yes, keeping company with oneself really is an art. One you don’t realise you’re learning until you’re already doing it (sometimes clumsily). I too have some "words unspoken" and it tends to surface only in quiet moments. I love solo walks, especially at night, but I can't do it much. It's freezing cold outside.

Oh....the Viktor Frankl quote is a favorite, Ritish. I love your post because it speaks to the solitary nature of deep thinking. Isolation is a goal and a byproduct but not without costs. Keeping company with oneself is a learned art form, I think. Your essay here reminds me of an intense conversation I had this week with a client where we talked about the "weight of words unspoken". I'm still thinking about what he said -- and your thoughts here are intertwining. Good fodder for a walk later today - solo, of course!

In reply to navasolanature. That's a sensible approach. Finding common ground through nature feels safer… especially when Trump is busy doing (You know) whatever today’s headline-worthy chaos is. The ocean doesn’t campaign, doesn’t argue, and doesn’t need fact-checking lol.
