I’m so excited to share that I was invited to be a guest on Sharing the Heart of the Matter, hosted by the wonderful Wynne Leon and Vicki Atkinson. Their Episode 118 just dropped on Spotify, blog and their YouTube channel, where I talked about something incredible close to my heart – our Unfold the Stories of Unsung Heroes series.
We talked about what inspired the series, how Deepak and I find these hidden heroes from across the globe, and what it takes to bring their stories to life in a way that feels deeply human and real. And yes, I even shared a favourite hero from this series, though that was no easy pick.
It’s wild to think this all started as a small storytelling effort on our Aspiring Blog platform, and today we’ve got three books out in the world. And now sharing the “why” behind this project, got me thinking on just how meaningful this journey has been.
And to be very honest, being my first podcast ever, I might’ve fumbled a little here and there, but it was so fun overall, and the good thing is I’m officially not camera-shy anymore. 😄

If you’ve read the Unsung Heroes books or are just curious about the stories we share, I think you’ll love the episode. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we find these heroes, and why we believe their stories matter more than ever in the world we live in today.
Wynne and Vicki, thank you both for making this such a special experience. Your warmth, curiosity, and kindness made this first-time podcast guest feel right at home. It was a joy talking with you, and I’m honoured to be part of your amazing series that focuses on the heart of what really matters.
I hope you’ll all give the episode a listen. And if you haven’t yet grabbed your copy of the Unfold the Stories of Unsung Heroes series, you know where to find us.
Until next time,
Ritish Sharma
