The year 2020, like in a cricket 20-20 means a limited over game where there is always a chance of major and unexpected turns anywhere between the game. Same like the 2020 year has shown us many drastic turns, ups & downs in just a short span of time, at last, who knows who will survive 2020: the official game.
If I talk about my country India, it all started from Delhi riots, Pandemic Coronavirus, economic slowdown, cyclones, gas leakage, tensions with china, and now between all, the word “nepotism” and “depression” is in trending.
Before we go any further We want to say that We have the deepest sympathy with Sushant Singh Rajput(a rising & talented star in India) and his family. His step gives us a deep message and bound us to rethink and review the functions & rules of society.
Nepotism! Nepotism! Nepotism! this word is trending everywhere . If you use social media you’ve seen this enough or it is not wrong If I say they are using this as an opportunity to gain attention, likes, followers & fame by using click bait showing the mystery behind his suicide. Don’t be surprised it’s not the first time. But at the end, Nothing.
Meaning of Nepotism…
The word arrives from an Italian word nepotismo, a Latin word nepos which means nephew. and basically, this means bias, partiality, and favoritism, granted to the relatives in various fields like business, politics, entertainment, sports, etc. Since the Middle Ages and until the late 17th century. Some Catholic popes and bishops, who had taken vows of chastity, and therefore usually had no legitimate offspring of their own, gave their nephews such positions of preference as were often accorded by fathers to son. but we have might take it in the wrong way. Don’t we?
Let me clear one thing. I am not backing nepotism but want to clarify that if a child has born in a privileged family so this is not his fault, this is his destiny that he/she is enjoying the easy life. However, there are some grounds I’ll try to mention why nepotism is wrong?
Continuous chances after being wrong:
Its a dream of every successful parent that their kids will become like them or even something more. But due to this sometimes they adopted unfair practices and the unethical way by giving them chances again and again even after no talent and interest. So every parent tries to make their children successful, which I don’t think is wrong, but the method may wrong.
I will tell you why?
Everyone has talent but maybe in some other field it is not necessary that a son of the star has the same talent as his father and a son of politician will be the same corrupt like his father, this depends on their preference. But the industry where everyone has one godfather suppressing the dreams of one who is more talented, deserving, and rises with their own efforts.
fault of industry:-
According to me, this is the complete fault of the industry/Bollywood in India. Like in the film industry, Nepotism is totally backed by the production houses and godfathers but if we look to some other major areas like central government level jobs only creamy layer candidates can survive. like my father was an advocate but its not necessary that i have same qualities like him or he would back me even I’m not even capable of doing these things.
Political
This process is in continuation from the ages, especially in India where it often is seen that a son of a politician will become a politician. The major party congress where the nepotism started and not ending yet, or some other parties also but now the public has become aware of these things and result in front of you.
Nepotism can be seen anywhere from politics to sports, nepotism in Bollywood, even home, schools & Colleges but the fact is they all are doing the same thing i.e. taking the chance of talented and deserving candidates. Even in schools, a child of the teacher always got more priority then other students or a son of a businessman have the legacy of his father, or have the same property right as his father, so have you ever questioned this also?
According to the aspiring blog, Nepotism is not a curse it’s a common thing and human nature by which parents help their children to grow because of there privilege. But by the fault of some industries, we cannot blame the star kids or other people that why they born on such a privileged family? it’s their luck & fate. Who are we to decide? BUT,
Giving them continuous chances after being no interest and without any talent is wrong and we completely disagree with that and demand strict action against the production houses and boycott the up comings so that comers could get chances.
I don’t know will you agree with my thoughts or not. it is my personal opinion about nepotism if anyone got hurt by my words I deeply apologize. But it’s all that I think. We can’t stop Nepotism but we can stop the wrongdoings in the name of Nepotism.
Before I end, one thing I must say that why someone has to lose their life to make people think? Don’t let these thing simply claim ones life.

Yes. Nepotism is bad and it kills one’s talent and progress. On the other hand it brings someone up who doesn’t have talent.
It thoroughly analyzed. Great post.👏👌
June 28, 2020 at 5:41 pm
Exactly that’s what I tried to show on my blog that it brings opportunities to someone at the same time takes opportunity from others . So who is convict?
June 28, 2020 at 12:26 pm
I agree with your thoughts….. Well said!!

Nepotism is viewed as one of the lesser sins. I mean, who doesn’t want to see his family members progress. It’s in our primal DNA we root for our own. The evil comes when there’s a more talented, more qualified person who really needs someone to have faith in them and their work but sees the other guy get the promotion or the job because he’s closely related to the people higher up.
His talents are wasted and if he doesn’t go solo or find another job he might end up frustrated and depressed. If he makes it anyway he might end up doing the same thing to another talented individual and this cycle continues.
I think employers and people in power should consider talent, hard work and passion not relation. Unless he/she meets those qualities.
June 28, 2020 at 5:39 pm
Indeed,,, relation shall be used at that places where it needs, but if you are using your relation for suppressing the younger talent it is curse and should immediately be stopped. And it seems much that many young talent feels depressed and have frustration bcz no one is there to acknowledge them..
June 28, 2020 at 7:39 pm
Absolutely true. It’s a human nature to care for your loved ones first. But production houses really needs to consider and acknowledge the younger talent who are rising himself.
But still I see a lot of actors who were abandoned by our film industry and now they’re working hard for their basic needs, even after pure talent.
It’s all a money game and people who controls the capital.
June 29, 2020 at 2:21 pm
There should be like a forum for this type of thing people need to speak out so the world can know what these guys are doing…
June 29, 2020 at 3:28 pm
That is what I mentioned that govt or organizations should build up a platform where this malicious activity should stop and strict action has to be taken against them
June 29, 2020 at 4:59 pm
I completely disagree.
Do you really think Govt. Interference will solve this?
The main thing is We are encouraging them. Even the worst movies of star kids are entering in 100cr club.. Without any reason.
That’s how our society is. First do the things and then just leave it to the govt. WOW!
June 29, 2020 at 10:14 pm
Well i think this is not appropriate because if a movie is earning so it doesn’t means all the money is going on a single pocket, govt also earn heavy tax from them and all the person, labours ,media, television whole thing depends upon it
June 29, 2020 at 10:18 pm
And govt should make a platform to promote new comers so that equal opportunity will be everywhere,,so this is my stance,,what u say?

Thank for your organized blog. I live in Canada so I did not know the story about Sushant Singh Rajput, I would like in future blogs to see links to help me to understand local news, parks, that I would be unfamiliar with. I hope I will remember to do this on my blog also for guest readers from around the world.
I think your English is strong and I understand your message. Nepotism and why is a big topic. I think you explored how it can be both positive and negative. Of course you would enjoy having an enterprise carry on with a son but as you pointed out, that might not be where the son’s talent lies.
You are a strong writer, and I am glad to visit and read your work, I appreciate the time it takes to create a blog post and you work on yours I can see that. – Best wishes, David

and aspiring blog respects you for analyzing our blog so deeply and suggesting us. And nepotism has both aspects as we mentioned but how we are taking this on our real life matters.. we are happy to see you again on our site….:):):):)

To hell with nepotism! Down with dynasties! I don’t object if someone learned something early and got very good at it, thats ok, and it so happens a lot of advantaged children grow up to be successful, but give the others a break too! 🙂
June 29, 2020 at 8:06 am
This is exactly the motive of nepotism nowadays suppressing others dream and talent, become so common if you are powerful and controls money, so everything is with you, otherwise you have to live a life of a worm.🙂
June 29, 2020 at 12:24 pm
Very well written.. 👏Appreciable work👏And “Nepotism” the word itself gives its vibes.. It has Done more harm than anything else…may god rest his soul in peace and bless all other with strength to bear the loss..

Nicely explained.👌 In our democracy the leader is elected by the public.अपने देश में नेताजी बनते ही भले ही रिश्ता न हो लेकिन भाई भतीजे बन जाते हैं। अब तो nepotism की जगह मित्रवाद ज्यादा जोर पकड़ रहा है।😪😄
June 30, 2020 at 9:26 am
Hahahaha its true in India i think you have closely observed Indian politics 😂

Yep it is right, you can not force anybody continuously on one profession that he is not capable of doing so. Still If he is capable of performing better in that field but it depends upon the liking of people whome they prefer. Understanding your real potential and work on that potential will lead you to satisfied life. If somebody is content what he is doing then he has found his happiness why you feel jealous of that person.

Great post. We cannot neglect the fact that nepotism exists in every where and is not just restricted to bollywood. References are given more preference over talent. Along with the protest against nepotism in bollywood, it is crucial to introspect oneself and understand how we are a part of it
July 3, 2020 at 12:59 pm
This is what we try to portrait by our post, nepotism exist everywhere not in particular field. But I worry that these protests are just for a Weeks or until someone lost their life again.
July 3, 2020 at 1:39 pm
That is probably because everybody us trying to change everybody else. Nobody wants to introspect. Your concerns are very genuine
July 3, 2020 at 1:41 pm

You are right. If someone has born in a privilege family it’s not their fault. Infact not every star kids are untalented. But it’s also true that in film industry nepotism is a big issue. Even in education field there is nepotism if you care for your loved ones it’s your priority it’s understandable but it doesn’t mean, for the sake of your unworthy child, you will swallow up a worthy child’s opportunity 😤😤😤
August 27, 2020 at 7:15 am
Indeed and that what we try to mentioned in the post,,, destiny is other thing but suppressing the dreams of opportunist beyond your privileges is unjustifiable.
August 27, 2020 at 8:08 am
That’s precisely it
May 10, 2022 at 4:24 pm
Nepotism can be described as a variety of practices related to favoritism; it can mean simply hiring one’s own family members, or it can mean hiring and advancing unqualified or under-qualified family members based simply on the familial relationship. https://www.peoplehum.com/glossary/nepotism
May 11, 2022 at 4:58 pm
Well said, Nepotism is a sin in India. Most of the talented and deserving ones are becoming jobless due to it.
Thank you for stopping by 🙏
