It’s been 5 months since the beginning of 2020 and things already changed a lot. Tables have been completely turned. But still, there are things that’ll change after Coronavirus breakdown.
This year brings a new world to us. I know it may not seems new to you know but as soon as this health crisis abates we’ll be in a new world. Previously I discussed the Dreams that came true in Coronavirus lockdown to show that these incidences maybe once in our life that will leave a great story to tell. But these incidences will change our perspective of seeing things.
Here I discuss some of these changes which I guess will add on to our lifestyle or which we may leave forever.
Health
The spread of global pandemic will make people more conscious of their health. As now you’ve already witnessed the situation that how people are taking every possible preventive step. The government also spent a lot to make people’s health awake.
There will be a huge demand for Sanitisers, masks & medical equipment. And I think it’ll be good if people will take these preventive measures. As they not only protect them from the virus but also from various other factors such as pollution & bacteria while going out.
Lifestyle
We are entering a whole new chapter of lifestyle. The lifestyle which some of you may have already adopted but not for a while. The significant changes you are seeing in your daily life, some of them will be permanent.
The social distancing which seems good now as a preventive measure might become a perpetual habit for some of us. The hesitation to attend social gatherings will be a concern for health-conscious people. But somewhere they’ll still be right to maintain a healthy lifestyle in this unhealthy world.
Medical Facilities
Sometimes worst situation describes what you really need more.
The healthcare sector is at the epicenter of this unprecedented global pandemic. But unfortunately countries are not up to the challenge. In fact, a lot of countries have to urgently import consumables and capital equipment.
But when it’s all over it is likely that Govt. will surely enlarge public health expenditure and medical facilities to ensure that whenever worst circumstances strike, we’ve already tightened the belts.
Education
One thing that worst affected in the lockdown is Education as schools & colleges are closed worldwide. It’ll result in late curriculum and exams. But all these happening cleared one thing that education has no boundaries.
The online education system really provides flexibility to students as they aren’t tied down to a fixed schedule and I hope even after lock-down, Educational institutions who still stuck in offline boundaries will provide a choice to the student of getting online classes & submitting assignments.
Environment
The only positive sign we have seen in 2020 is the healing of Earth. It shows that we are just guests here. Nature was, is, and will function with or without us.
Drop-down in pollution level in major countries is surely the best thing in this lock-down. But for how long? As soon as this all over pollution level will increase once again, the ozone layer will deplete once again, water bodies will contaminate once again and the animals who are now wandering freely will hide once again. If we still didn’t get this lesson then nothing can stop Human Extinction.
Economy
The outbreak of this pandemic creates a big shift in the stock market and pushing major economies to the brink. And that Govt. actions may not be enough to stop the decline.
Moreover the demand for oil has dropped significantly as lock-down has kept people inside. Oil prices turned negative for the first time in history.
Even after it’s all over it’ll take too much time to come out of recession. In fact, this recession will ingest millions of jobs and factories. Even IMF already said that the Global Economy will shrink by 3% this year and also declared this as the worst crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
How Global pandemic affects Global Economy?:- https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/depression-global-economy-coronavirus/
Tourism
The major impact is on tourism as nearly every country imposed the restriction on tourism. Airlines cutting flights and customers canceling trips & holidays.
The travel has been badly damaged. Even after people will hesitate to visit other countries. And that’ll surely affect tourism worldwide.
Impact on Tourism by Weforum:- https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/03/world-travel-coronavirus-covid19-jobs-pandemic-tourism-aviation/
Trust
The most important thing that’ll change after this pandemic is ‘trust’ that we have on others. These situations have changed it all.
We lost trust somewhere.
- Trust to buy things from strangers
- Trust to shake hands & hug
- Trust to travel together
- Trust to gather together
- Trust to visit neighbors
- Trust to visit relatives
- Trust to hanging out with friends
- Trust to come together
After it’s all over the ‘trust’ factor will get missed and I think that’ll be the worst situation of Humanity.
It’s strange that we don’t even know where we are? and what will happen next? Changes are a part of life. But some changes will leave their dark mark on history that will remember till the ages.
Stay safe
Stay at home

One day at a time . . . every cloud eventually runs out of rain . . . “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” – Matthew 6:34
May 24, 2020 at 4:20 pm
Yep. I care about today. But things ain’t like it was before. Between Great lines 💜
May 25, 2020 at 1:36 am
Great post Ritish and you’re right about the not knowing what will happen next. It’s actually quite scary as some companies will realise that they don’t need big fancy offices and staff can continue to work from home. Companies will be aware that people ‘working’ from home are not working 100% and may cut their hours. I do think some people are in for a wake up call.
May 25, 2020 at 6:46 am
Well that’s right. Whole system just turned upside-down. And it’ll take time to get back. But still no worries for future as present itself holds enough battles. And surely we’ll all gonna get through this.
Thanks

Nice efforts 👌👌
May 25, 2020 at 6:37 am
Thank you 🙂

Yep!
May 25, 2020 at 9:10 am
On bright side, how we coordinate as nation, care about people from lower starta of society, respect the job we have, importance of money to buy food, remember forgotten family values and most importantly admire the beauty of having a home to live will improve🙂
May 25, 2020 at 10:57 am
I already discussed this in one of my post about the dream that came true in this lockdown. But you should agree too that mankind has gone too far, that we are writing our own extinction. Because we forgot that we are just guest here.
May 25, 2020 at 5:28 pm
I agree with you dear, because even now things have already changed and most of changes won’t go back. As per I call upon the world at large to easy our lives by accepting the changes now and we start planning on how we gonna survive and to make our lives better than it was before. It may be hard now but I believe that we will make it through.
May 26, 2020 at 4:46 am
Well I considered these changes as a warning of nature. The supreme power knows how to restore balance on the Earth. We’ve done enough, but if we still didn’t get the lesson than future holds nothing for us. Although I agree we should start planning on how we gonna survive.
May 26, 2020 at 9:15 am
Trust is one particular thing that will definitely change ”after cv outbreak”
May 26, 2020 at 12:47 pm
Yes it is. And I think it’ll take much time to restore trust once again
May 27, 2020 at 12:01 pm
Trust is perculiar. It could take a long while to build or gain, but just seconds to destroy. I have a first hand experience with this.
May 27, 2020 at 3:33 pm
Yes it is. But I’m pretty sure that we’ll built it again. Only experiences on a journey leads to the destination.
May 27, 2020 at 3:49 pm
Can never be the same when rebuilt.
May 26, 2020 at 10:51 pm
I wish these likely changes will provide the impetus for unity in my country it’s clear that because we have politicized these issues, disunity prevails. Why should we argue about whether to wear a mask or not to protect ourselves and others? But we are.
May 27, 2020 at 4:50 am
The only way to tackle these changes is unity & trust. But I think disunity prevails somewhere in every country.

All of this is very true!
May 27, 2020 at 3:30 pm
Yes! Thank you 🙂
May 30, 2020 at 2:59 am
We could take this opportunity to make changes for the better. Sadly, I doubt we will.
May 30, 2020 at 3:57 am
It’s a hard road we have to walk through. I also doubt, may be it’s too late.
June 2, 2020 at 7:18 am
Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the impact of this pandemic. I agree that these sectors of the society are the most affected and it’s enticing yet depressing to know that we are facing a new normal considering that we once lived a life that we are all comfortable to. However, I think this is where the challenge lies — to be able to adapt to these marks that these occurrences leave to all of us.
Keep writing! Wishing you the best!

June 7, 2020 at 5:43 pm
It is a brave new world to be sure. Those with sense will be slow to return to “normal”. Stay well
June 8, 2020 at 4:12 am
Ofcourse the world we once knew is gonna change. But don’t know is it going to be normal? Cause we’ve gone too far.
Thanks for reading 🙂
June 8, 2020 at 7:09 am
Hi Ritish you have an excellent blog going 👍. Assuming its gonna change for the better the change will be very slow. And if the forces resisting change out weigh the former, then we will be back to our old ways.
Cheers 😃
Dilip

Thanks for cheering up.
We can only assume for now, ain’t no option. We can only hope for betterment but coming out of this darkest night is not gonna be easy.
Hope you stay safe & well.🙂
June 8, 2020 at 9:56 pm
Dear Ritish, Thank you for your good word. This lockdown has thought me the value of a simpler life. It has forced me to become more humble (with the face mask on, why do I need lipstick?). For a proud woman like me, to become humble in few months, it is a miracle. But once I tasted the beauty and the freedom of a simpler life, I became happy, with God and with myself. Something good came out of something bad. Thank God!
June 9, 2020 at 2:41 am
That’s sounds good. Something good is happening all around the globe. Am glad that miracle happened to you. Save money don’t buy lipsticks 😁😁
The inner beauty is our simpler life that God has given to us.
Anyway thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. 😉
June 9, 2020 at 6:43 pm
Thank you for your encouragement!

June 9, 2020 at 2:20 pm
thanks for the enlightening article, ritish. though i will have to say i have a brighter outlook for the world. i believe that this episode may also bring the people to learn to help each other. i think that the world will learn that, in order to survive, people will have to learn to trust, to help, to love each other. i think that this pandemic will bring out the best and the worst of men, and that in the end, the good will prevail.
June 9, 2020 at 4:35 pm
Surely the good will prevail. But the ‘trust’ factor we lost take time to heal. And I hope that this chapter will bring good in us. In order to survive people also need to know the nature.
Thanks for sharing your views here. I appreciate that 👏
June 14, 2020 at 9:17 pm
I just got back to work for the first time in 3 months. It feels strange to be out. A bit disorienting. Not a feeling I expected.
I am glad the planet had a chance to heal. The fact that it can heal this fast is encouraging. ☺
June 14, 2020 at 9:33 pm
I can understand that feeling. It seems like a whole new world just like we saw in survival movies or games.
But be safe if you’re going out.
And I hope that human will understand now laws of nature.
Thanks for visiting ✌
June 15, 2020 at 1:09 pm
Great information and observation. Our world has been changed so much in just several months. For now, we adapt and make the most of what we have.
June 15, 2020 at 4:34 pm
We’ve seen a lot this year. But I think it’s a human nature to come together again and surely we will.
Thanks for appreciation 🙂
June 17, 2020 at 4:02 am
It will be a whole new world.
June 17, 2020 at 7:28 am
Yes it’ll be. And this new world is gonna need survivors like us.
July 25, 2020 at 7:37 pm
I’ve noticed within a 30 block radius many stores have closed their doors. And some went out of business. It seems so surprising the way things turned out. I believe this will definitely be the year for online stores and businesses. It may just be cheaper to have online stores then brick and mortar. The other added benefit of this time. Is the increase of adoption of animals. It’s finding a forever home with a happy family.
July 25, 2020 at 9:41 pm
Ofcourse online businesses are way more reliable and flexible.
These time brings out so many things and opportunities and especially with the medical ones.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
This time we aren’t prepared that much but still it’s better than the Spanish flu pandemic.
And this too shall pass.
July 26, 2020 at 2:21 am
The issue is worse for stores that refused to conform. They could’ve blended a physical and online store. Then they could continue with sales. Plus, they’d reach a larger audience.
July 26, 2020 at 7:25 am
And I think Govt. also needs to encourage these stores to upgrade their businesses.
Here in India govt. initiating the vocal for local campaign for these small stores and business.
